People in Elkhart County can now track crime in their neighborhood online.
Prosecutor Curtis Hill announced Thursday his office has teamed up with local police agencies throughout the county to use an interactive crime mapping program that the public can access as well.
“Our crime mapping system will encourage enhanced dialogue between law enforcement agencies interested in studying crime patterns and trends, both within and across jurisdictional boundaries,” said Hill.
Hill said the program, offered by RAIDS Online from Bair Analytics, also makes it easy for people to monitor crime reports in their own neighborhood.
