A southwest Michigan school principal is charged with driving drunk.
According to the Berrien County Sheriff's Department, DeLane Overton ran a stop light on June 30 at the intersection of U.S. 12 and 3rd Street in Niles Township and crashed into a tanker truck.
Police gave Overton a breath test and his blood alcohol was 0.16, twice the legal limit.
Overton has been officially charged with driving while intoxicated. A court date has not yet been set.
Overton, 45, is principal at Hartford Middle School in Van Buren County.
