ST. JOSEPH COUNTY -- Former Penn Township Trustee Jeff Dean was sentenced to 90 days in jail and 15 months probation on multiple felony counts in connection with a ghost employment case.
This stems from accusations that he paid his girlfriend for work she didn't do.
Jeff Dean pleaded guilty in May to misconduct and conflict of interest charges during his time as Penn Township Trustee.
Earlier this month he resigned from the position, after initially refusing to step down.
Last week a caucus elected Janet Whitfield-Hyduk to replace Dean. She is a former state government consultant.
