GOSHEN – A Goshen firefighter was hurt fighting a house fire Monday morning when he fell off a ladder.
According to Goshen fire Captain Bruce Nethercutt, a neighbor saw smoke coming from the second floor of a home in the 1400 block of S. 12th Street.The injured firefighter, who has not been identified, was taken to IU Health Goshen Hospital where he was treated and released.
No one was home at the time of the fire. Two of three family cats were found unharmed. A third cat is unaccounted for.
Investigators are searching for the cause of the fire.
