ROCHESTER – A fiberglass factory in Rochester caught fire Wednesday afternoon, and firefighters from several departments battled the smoke and flames.
Shortly after 3 p.m., emergency crews were called to Olympic Fiberglass in the 1200 block of East 4th St.
4th St. from Main to State Road 25 was blocked to traffic.
Firefighters from Mentone, Akron and Kewanna were helping Rochester crews, and the Tippecanoe Fire Department was on standby.
WSBT's Chad Damp said the fire was pretty much under control around 5 p.m.
There were people working at the plant at the time of the fire, but no injuries are reported, and there's no word on what sparked the blaze.
The roof of the factory was heavily damaged.
