SOUTH BEND – The homeowners involved in a violent South Bend home invasion are recovering as the people accused of breaking into their home, stabbing them and stealing items are in court today.
5 suspects were set to be arraigned early Monday afternoon.
18-year-old Nate Coley, 17-year-old Gemari Cotton, 19-year-old Lee Griffin, 21-year-old Khawana Lamar, and 47-year-old Walter Neely are all charged with robbery and burglary.
The St. Joseph County prosecutor's office doesn't anticipate filing further charges at this time.
It happened on Michigan Street Thursday night.
Investigators are still interviewing people to find out what happened and why the group targeted that home.
The men broke into the house with a gun and a knife, demanded money and started "cutting" people.
Other guests in the home hid and called 911.
Police arrested the robbers as they were leaving the house, some carrying stolen items.
Bond for each suspect was set at $1 million.
