College Goal Sunday connects college-bound Indiana students, who qualify for undergraduate admission to a college or technical school in 2011, and their families with help to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, a form commonly known as FAFSA. Most colleges, universities and vocational/technical schools in the nation require students seeking federal financial aid, including grants and loans, to complete the FAFSA. Completed FAFSA forms must be received on or before March 10. Twenty-first Century Scholars are required to complete and submit a FAFSA form to claim their Twenty-first Century Scholarships.

ELKHART - It's been a full year since a tragic accident near Middlebury killed two Amish children and injured three others. Now, Elkhart County Sheriff Brad Rogers has unveiled a new partnership with members of the Amish community. On Labor Day of 2011, an SUV hit the pony cart 6 children were riding. 10-year-old Jenna Miller and 7-year-old Jolisa Miller died in the accident that raised questions about the laws surrounding the use of horse-drawn carts and buggies on the roadways.

GOSHEN - Violent crime in Goshen has become political in the race for mayor.  But is crime in Goshen really rising? It's fall in the Maple City, but along with turning leaves, yellow tape has become a common sight in some Goshen neighborhoods. In October, Goshen saw its first murders in four years. The killing of hotel owner Ken Patel and the murder of Goshen College Professor James Miller. Now, 10 days before the election, crime in Goshen has become a political position.

ELKHART COUNTY - What would you do if an armed robber came to your door, pointed a gun in your face and demanded money?  Lance Mestach decided to fight back. Mestach, his wife, and their four young children were asleep in their rural Elkhart County home on County Road 36 when they heard the doorbell ring.  When he went downstairs to investigate, he saw a young man walking up the sidewalk in a black hoodie. “I thought, 'Well maybe his car is stranded and he needed help,'” Mestach recalled.  “So I opened the door and said, 'Hey can I help you?

It has been more than a week since someone attacked and killed Goshen College Professor James Miller at his home. That killer is still on the loose and more crimes in the area have people a little nervous. On Sunday, a burglary suspect was held at gunpoint by the homeowner in the 100 block of Olive Street. It was around 9:30 p.m. Sunday, when the burglary happened. Property owner Michael Morse was already on edge. The house, which he is in the process of rehabbing was recently burglarized.

While the search continues for the man suspected of killing 58-year-old Goshen College Professor James Miller and severely injuring his wife, Linda, in their Goshen home early Sunday morning, a prayer service Wednesday night at the couple's church focused on faith as the foundation for the family and community going forward in the face of unthinkable tragedy. The Miller's three children were not at Wednesday's prayer service. They were at the hospital with their mother.

MIDDLEBURY, Ind. - A tragic Labor Day accident near Middlebury is raising questions about the laws surrounding the use of horse-drawn carts and buggies on roadways. Two Amish children - 10-year-old Jenna Miller and 7-year-old Jolisa Miller - recieved fatal injuries and three others were injured when an SUV hit the pony carts they were riding in Monday morning. All six children on the cart were 10 or younger. In all, four children were air-lifted from the scene, with Jolisa Miller dying not long after her arrival at the hospital.

The online classroom just became a lot easier to navigate, thanks to Google Apps for Education and Goshen-based Haiku Learning. The Google Apps Marketplace recently launched its Google Apps for Education, designed to help teachers and students work and communicate more effectively. Haiku’s Learning Management System (LMS) is one of the most highly rated products offered through the new app, and founders Bryan Falcón and Allen Angell said the LMS can revolutionize a classroom.
