Police say a 29-year-old Argos woman was arrested Tuesday for sexual activity with a 15-year-old boy. In a release issued Thursday, the Plymouth Police Department said they received information about the crime on January 29. After locating the boy, he gave them details about sexual activity with 29-year-old Lisa Tincher. Tincher was found and arrested on February 5, say police. She admitted to sexual acts with the 15-year-old that happened in October of 2012. She was booked into Marshall County Jail for Sexual Misconduct with a Minor, a class B felony.

LAPORTE - Police believe they have solved a 20-year-old murder mystery out of LaPorte County. Jason L. Tibbs, 38, of LaPorte Friday was arrested for the 1993 murder of Rayna Rison. Rison was 16 when her father reported her missing on March 26, 1993 after she failed to return home from work. She worked at Pine Lake Animal Hospital. Rison's disappearance received national coverage and was aired on “America's Most Wanted” a week later. Her body was found in a pond near Range Road in LaPorte County on April 27, 1993.

LAPORTE COUNTY - Police say a Granger man is dead after his vehicle hit a semi on the Indiana Toll Road Thursday evening. According to police, this happened around 4 p.m. near the 52 mile marker in the eastbound lanes, approximately two miles east of the State Road 39, LaPorte exit. That is near Rolling Prairie. Officers say a semi driven by Nathan Kassahun, 39, of Chicago was stopped along with other traffic in the right lane while another semi that had crashed into the median ahead was towed away.

A nationwide drug ring allegedly run by two Indiana prison inmates has major local connections. A federal indictment unsealed by the U.S. Attorney's office after FBI raids across the state Wednesday named 40 people purportedly involved in the scheme. At least six people named on the indictment have roots in Elkhart County, including one of the drug ring's two leaders, who is accused of coordinating the sale and delivery of meth and PCP while he's been an inmate at the Westville correctional facility in LaPorte County.

Some of us have received more snow this weekend than others. Some areas have seen whiteout conditions. New Carlisle was among the places that did Sunday morning, along with parts of southwest Michigan over the last 24 hours. Driving has been slick in places and may still be, depending on where you are. We learned new details overnight about a shooting in LaPorte County that sent two people to the hospital. It happened just after 6:30 Friday night in an alley near Elm and Main Streets in Michigan City. Asa Tompkins, 16, has been named as a suspect. Police say he should be considered armed and dangerous. Two people, who police describe as juveniles, were injured in the shooting. They were taken to the hospital with injuries that police say are not life-threatening.

LaPorte, IN — Police say a LaPorte County man nearly died of a substance overdose Monday morning. Thirty-six-year-old Christopher Hix consumed the over-the-counter drug "blue magic. " Seconds later, his heart stopped beating and he needed an ambulance. It's a blue pill inside a fancy package. Doctors say the capsule has a combination of substances that has the potential to be deadly. So why is it sold in stores? We took our camera inside one store to find out. A market on Monroe Street along State Route 4 in LaPorte is home to a drug that could be deadly.

One person is dead and another injured after a car accident Saturday morning, police say. LaPorte County deputies arrived at the 6000 North block of C.R. 525 West around 5:41 this morning and found a Honda Civic slammed into a tree. Police say the civic was driving southbound on C.R. 525 West and failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway. The vehicle then crossed the center line and struck a large tree. The driver's side of the vehicle was severely damaged.

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY -- Hundreds of people are waking up to a dark home in LaPorte and St. Joseph Counties in Indiana this morning. That's because AEP is reporting approximately 1,400 customers in St. Joseph County and another 150 in LaPorte County with no power. A call in to AEP confirms that the outage is due to a tree falling on a power line. Our reports seem to centralize the outage near the northwest side of South Bend. AEP estimates power to be back on by 8 a.m. EDT.

Back in 1981, when Juanta Boyd was killed, the technology to test DNA didn't exist. It does now and police in LaPorte County hope to get results in Boyd's murder case back soon. This has breathed new life into the cold case mystery of a single mother murdered in the middle of nowhere. "It hurts my heart more than it does anything," says Kevin Boyd. Kevin has grown up. He was just 9 years old when he found out his mother had been murdered. That was 32 years ago. "I just felt like my whole world exploded," says Kevin.
