ST. JOSEPH COUNTY -- Hundreds of people are waking up to a dark home in LaPorte and St. Joseph Counties in Indiana this morning. That's because AEP is reporting approximately 1,400 customers in St. Joseph County and another 150 in LaPorte County with no power. A call in to AEP confirms that the outage is due to a tree falling on a power line. Our reports seem to centralize the outage near the northwest side of South Bend. AEP estimates power to be back on by 8 a.m. EDT.
